Do you believe in trolls? Yesh. Do you believe in elves? Yesh. Do you believe in fairies? Yesh. Do you believe in pixies? Yesh. Gee, Mooch...what don't you believe in? A closed mind. From comic strip Mutts
This is one of my favorite pictures I've taken so far this year. It was January 28, right before the Maverick's big wave contest, you can see the swell is picking up...and the ravens are checking out the surf.
1. Non-judging 2. Patience 3. Beginner's mind (be open to more learning and remember what it was like when we were first learning the new stuff) 4. Trust 5. Non-striving 6. Accepting 7. Letting go These 7 state of mind attributes are an advantageous way to carry yourself. From Natalie Goldberg's The True Secret of Writing We are slowly getting our light back, emerging from the winter darkness. However, the darkness has been bearable as we have been experiencing a serious drought in California. Daytime has been dry and sunny. Seems like an extension of autumn. And the plants and animals are confused thinking spring is here with all the warm sunlight. I'm confused too! What season is it? Either way, I am grateful for the beauty of each day whether the weather. A hummingbird visited me today. The hummingbird is a good luck messenger according to Native Americans. Her colors promote healing and balance. She is spiritual and can teach us how to soul travel, improve the powers of our mind and be graceful.
